The all-new HANS IV is the latest Frontal Head Restraint (FHR) from HANS. With a totally redesigned structure, it is around 10 percent lighter than the previous model. Not only this, the HANS IV is designed with a number of user improvements in mind: The device has better harness placement through greater retaining profiles on the outside which means the chances of the harness shoulder strap moving are hugely reduced. For upgraded comfort, the shoulder pads (which sit between the device and the user) are designed exclusively for HANS IV and therefore are a better shape, reducing the likelihood of movement of the pads whilst driving.

HANS IV is constructed from injected polymer and is lighter than its closest market rival. For drivers wanting a cost-effective frontal head restraint for tin-top, saloon car racing or rallying, this new HANS IV is a fantastic new contender. For us, what really sets it apart from the other FHRs in its class are the belt retaining aids and the all-new shoulder pads.

This device is homologated to FIA 8858-2010 standard and SFI 38.1 meaning it is suitable for both UK and International motorsport where an FHR is required.

FIA Standard: FIA 8858-2010

Sizing info: Small (collar size 14-16"), Medium (collar size 15-18"), Large (collar size 17-20")

Sizing guide: You will notice that the sizes have a slight overlap, it is crucial to measure accurately and choose a device which provides a secure and comfortable fit when attached to your helmet and you are belted in to the car. From our experience, the most 'average' size is medium which fits 80% of drivers.
