The standard caliper seal (Orange Stripe) is the anti-knockback design that helps keep the brake pedal instantly ready, reducing the need to "pump up" the pedal even under extreme conditions. Most Alcon car calipers (Mono4/6, RC4/6, etc.. use the X751 Seal.
The special low-friction seal (Blue Stripe) is used in certain armored calipers and in formula car systems.
The pressure seal is the one inside the bore of the caliper.
High performance brake calipers must be inspected and maintained on a regular basis to ensure safe and optimum results. If your pads are wearing unevenly or a piston is sticking - replacing the seals can help solve this issue.
